The Peddler is the place to go in town if you are craving a steak. If you are a vegetarian, don't be afraid to tag along with your meat eating friends as there is a 40 item salad bar, soup, bread, and a variety of vegetarian friendly appetizers on the menu (fried mozzarella, onion rings, spinach artichoke dip, and more!).
The Peddler serves dinner from 5:00-9:00pm each night. As evidenced from the number of people waiting by the door at 4:45pm, this place is a local hotspot!
Asides from the steak, which is cut at your table in front of you, a variety of other meat and seafood based dishes are available (Alaskan Crab Legs, Grilled Ahi Tuna, and a Shrimp Dinner to name a few).
All entrees come with bread and unlimited visits to the Soup and Salad bar. On the salad bar, you will find a variety of veggies, soups, cheeses, and fruits. Vegetarians are limited in terms of entrees, however, a great soup & salad bar with bread and baked potato combo is available for only $11.
I can not vouch for the steak myself, however, others in the area I have spoken to say that it is delicious, tender, and perfectly seasoned (The Peddler only uses natural seasoning).
Our server was fantastic, very friendly and efficient. Drink refills were brought as soon as our glasses were empty.
The restaurant is on the small side, yet cozy with an attractive rustic setting. The inside was decorated beautifully for the holidays with plenty of festive garland. The inside is not cramped at all and the setting is somewhat romantic. It seemed to be mostly couples dining here, creating a more elegant setting.
Overall, the Peddler is a great date night destination for those who love a good steak. This authentic steakhouse is sure to be a better choice than any other chain restaurants in town.
