The Ashford House is an Irish restaurant in Tinley Park, one of the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. I dined here with my family one evening for a special occasion dinner.
The Ashford House serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes a mix of American and Irish favorites. Here you can enjoy a traditional Irish breakfast, Corned beef and cabbage, or popular American based entrees like pasta, seafood, or steaks. They have a full bar available and carry a nice selection of Irish beers.
I was not a big fan of this restaurant because most of the menu consisted of meat lover’s options. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and even though it was a huge serving it was not very good. The sauce was too creamy and thick and I ended up throwing most of it out.
Prices are appropriate as the serving size is humongous. This restaurant had some of the biggest serving sizes I have ever seen. Almost everyone enjoyed their meals and everyone had plenty of leftovers.
Service was fantastic and added to the ambiance for our celebratory special occasion.
This restaurant's ambiance is in between being casual and fancy. You could either dress up or dress casual. The decor is nice and the seating is private.
I recommend dining at The Ashford House if you like Irish food and are more concerned with quantity over quality.
