Pizzeria La Toscanella
Pizzeria La Toscanella is a casual dining pizza restaurant in the Mt. Snow area. This was one of the best and cheapest restaurants during our trip to the West Dover area. The restaurant isn’t fancy, but the food was decent. It's a great place to stop for lunch after a day of skiing or any other intense outdoor adventure.
Food
The menu consists mainly of pizza, sandwiches, and fried appetizers. A few wraps, panini sandwiches, and pasta dinners are also available. Prices are pretty reasonable with a small pizza costing under ten bucks.
Mike ordered the daily lunch special – which was $4 for 2 huge slices of pizza and a soda. I had a hummus wrap which was a tasty combination of lettuce, tomato, red onion, roasted red peppers, cucumbers and kalamata olives. The wrap was $8 and included chips. Not bad for a quick lunch.
Service
There was no waiter service at this restaurant. You just order your food at the counter and someone brings it out to you. The staff was friendly and kindly told us about the lunch pizza special (we were going to order a 10 inch pizza which would have cost $8 when we were informed of the $4 special which was roughly the same size).
Atmosphere
This restaurant is nothing fancy – just a quick place to sit down with a few slices of pizza or a sandwich. The interior is pretty basic with barely any décor – just a few pictures of local area baseball teams.
Final Remarks
Overall, Pizzeria La Toscanella was a great stop for a quick, casual lunch. The food was great, prices were appropriate, and the location was convenient to other area attractions and shopping.
