Gino's is a local family-run Italian establishment serving a mix of traditional and new Italian entrées. The low-key setting and authentic cuisine make it a great choice for anyone seeking a delicious and casual Italian meal.
Each entrée is served with garlic bread and a house salad. The house specialty is Eggplant Parmesan and it truly is delicious. Their Alfredo sauce is also delicious. Other favorites on the lineup include Lasagna, Baked Ziti, Seafood Pasta, and Grouper Parmigiana. The appetizer selection is pretty small, although you can never go wrong with fried ravioli.
Most of the entrees (asides from the seafood choices) are a great value and priced at $13-20). Portion sizes are big for the price, especially with the complimentary salad and garlic bread. Food is great, no complaints.
Service is excellent, attentive and friendly.
The ambiance here is nice - it's cozy, casual, and warm inside. It's a nice place for a casual affordable date. It's usually super quiet if you visit during lunch hours, so this is a great time to plan a visit if you prefer a quieter, more laid-back experience.
Gino's is an excellent choice for authentic local Italian cuisine in the Tampa Bay region. The ambiance, service, and high quality food definitely place it on my list of local Italian restaurants to try in the Bay region.
