Oak Lawn Family Restaurant is a local family diner in Oak Lawn, a suburb located on the south-side of Chicago. This restaurant has been around as long as I can remember, and I have been going back here over the years.
The gigantic menu features breakfast all day, lunch, and dinner. Bring your appetite because the servings are large. Add in a generous bread basket and you will be taking home leftovers. I ordered a bowl of vegetable soup, which was fantastic as was the Caesar salad. I recommend getting this soup if you go on Thursday when it is soup of the day. Our table split an enormous fried appetizer plate. For a mere $7 we had leftovers for 2 days.
The waitresses are always friendly and concerned with your satisfaction with both the food and service.
It is not the fanciest restaurant, just your typical Greek restaurant. I enjoy the comfortable, clean, friendly atmosphere.
