Home is a cute little American comfort food style restaurant with several locations in LA. The Los Feliz location features a relaxing outdoor seating area with a Koi pond and a cozy coffee shop with plenty of outdoor seating. It's a great choice after visiting the Griffith Observatory or any other activities in the Hollywood area, due to the close proximity and casual setting.
A diverse menu, surprising affordability for the area, and a cozy setting would definitely bring me back. Home is a relaxing place for weekend brunch when you have the extra time to spare. It's also a perfect choice when you need a relaxing place to grab a bite to eat after driving in endless traffic and visiting busy tourist attractions all day.
Home features a diverse American menu with a little something for everyone. The breakfast menu is quite large and features all the standard favorites, along with gluten-free and vegetarian selections. Lunch includes all sorts of sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. An order or 2 of deep fried pickles (using whole pickles as opposed to sliced) is definitely the way to go in terms of appetizers!
The Turkey Reuben sandwich with delicious waffle cut fries is a must try for lunch. And, if you are in the mood for breakfast, the Veggie Lover plate is a nice choice. There are more than enough options for everyone in your party at Home, including various gluten-free & vegetarian choices.
Service was pretty great here. The hostess was friendly and welcoming. The wait to get the food was a bit long, however, it was pretty busy and we did not mind at all sitting in the relaxing garden area.
The laidback setting at Home is definitely the highlight of a visit. The tranquil garden patio is truly a refreshing change of pace in an area overloaded with people, cars, business, and attractions. A Koi pond, pretty landscaping, and fountains allow you to escape the L.A. clutter, if just for an hour or 2.
I would definitely visit Home again on my next L.A. trip. I loved the cozy little outdoor seating area. In such a hectic city, being able to relax, take our time, and enjoy our food in a non rushed setting was really a fantastic experience. The food at Home was great, prices were surprisingly affordable for the area, and the atmosphere was very attractive. What more could you look for in a great L.A. dining experience?!
