Chocolate brownie dessert at Toothsome at Universal City Walk in Orlando

Review Details

City Walk is home to so many great themed restaurants. Toothsome is a fun choice for a delicious sweet treat. Splurge on a giant sundae or cool down with an over-the-top milkshake. Even their regular menu includes a few chocolate twist such as Cocoa and Honey Hot Wings and Baked Brie en Croute served with chocolate almond bread.

Food

Toothsome is a full service restaurant, however, they are much more well known for their mammoth desserts. On the regular menu you will find all sorts of goodies including comforting appetizers, flatbreads, sandwiches, burgers, and pasta. Basically, there is something here for everyone in your party. The dinner offerings are decent, however, this is the type of place where the desserts outshine the regular food offerings.

The menu is quite creative too. From chocolate almond bread, to chocolate stout chicken wings, to onion rings served with a chocolate dipping sauce, there is a sweet touch added to several menu items. If you love chocolate, this is definitely the place to be! They also serve a delicious Too Chocolate stout beer!

A few standouts from our meal included avocado bruschetta, Mediterranean hummus dip, Wild Mushroom and Chicken Risotto, and the Fettuccine Alfredo. The Vegetable Press, on the other hand, was a bit overdone and way too crunchy. Small serving for the price too. The Filet Mignon was also overpriced for the quality and serving size.

What you really come here for is the desserts. As soon as you walk in the doors, you will be overloaded with treats galore. The candy counter is so tempting, but you will want to wait and order a delicious sundae or milkshake. There are so many creative options to choose amongst here, from a red velvet milkshake, to a birthday cake sundae. The hardest part of visiting Toothsome is deciding which dessert to order!

The Chocolate Brownie Bark is a true delight for chocolate lovers. This incredible sundae is loaded with chocolate brownies, chocolate ice cream, chocolate whip cream, chocolate brownie bark, and even chocolate whip cream. Basically, it's chocolate overload at its' finest. All desserts are big enough to be shared amongst your party.

Service

Service is great here. This place has that fun touristy vibe like everywhere else in the Universal region.

Atmosphere

The ambiance at Toothsome is very whimsical. The decor is modern and the 2 floor layout is fun.

Final Words

Stop by Toothsome for a decadent dessert after your tiresome day at the park. With dozens of tempting dessert creations, there is sure to be something your entire party can agree to dig into! This is a really unique place with all the chocolate twists on the menu. I would definitely add it to your bucket list if you have a sweet tooth or are just seeking somewhere fun to take your family.
