The Lansdowne is a wonderful Irish Pub located inside the beautiful Mohegan Sun resort in Southwestern Connecticut. While the casino offers a number of dining choices, this pub is the best choice if you are seeking affordable, tasty, comfort style food in a cozy traditional pub style setting. They serve amazing pot pies which are so comforting on a cold winter's day!
The menu at the Lansdowne consists of your favorite Irish inspired fare. Menu highlights include: Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Baked Cod, Shepherd's Pie, Fish and Chips, and Bangers and Mash. You really cannot beat the Aged Irish Mac and Cheese, a great vegetarian choice. Although, the must-try here is the Seafood Pot Pie which is served along made house made soda bread and KerryGold butter.
And of course, as the case at all good Irish pubs, there are plenty of tempting appetizers on the menu. The Irish nachos, smothered in chili, cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, and scallions is the way to go if you are craving something really satisfying! Other tempting apps include: Coconut Shrimp, Bavarian Pretzel with cheese sauce, and New England claw chowder.
Service is attentive and friendly, without feeling overbearing.
The Lansdowne offers a charming authentic pub vibe, complete with the attractive dark wood. The fixtures here were actually built in Ireland and shipped to the US, so this pub has a true Irish feel.

Overall, The Lansdowne is the best choice in the Mohegan Sun for guests craving some good comforting food in a welcoming setting. I would definitely come back again for that amazing mac and cheese! This is a really comforting place to enjoy some good food in a beautiful setting!
