If you are shopping for the day at Patriot Place, you will likely work up an appetite. Tavolino is a gourmet pizza restaurant serving both tomato and white pies, along with pasta and sandwiches. We actually ran into this place by accident because our other desired restaurants had over 2 hour long waiting lines! I am glad we stopped as the food was great and we loved dining on the patio people watching.
Tavolino is most well known for their pizza. A few of the white pizza options: Balsamic BBQ Chicken, Gorgonzola and Grape, Roasted Artichoke, and and Bruschetta Chicken. Red pizza choices include: Mariana, Meat Lovers, Tuscan Sausage, and Margarita. I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. It is nice to find a non-chain restaurant located inside a mall; this doesn't happen that often! The Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious and prices were reasonable ($16 for a large pizza).
Besides pizza, there are salads, tasty appetizers, sandwiches, and a whole range of pasta dishes to choose amongst. Some of the pasta selections include: Chicken Piccata, Chicken Parmesan, Spaghetti and Clams, Chicken Mascarpone, and Pan Seared Scallops. Next on my list: Butternut Squash Ravioli or Eggplant Parmesan. Also the salads look really delicious especially the Mediterranean and the Power Bowl.
Update: As of 2025, prices have increased a bit. A large pizza now ranges from $21-25.
Service was slow, but expected as it was pretty busy. Not the friendliest waitress ever, but prompt and professional.
We chose to sit on the outdoor terrace. This was a great spot for people watching. Plenty of people were out and about as the Finish at the 50 5k and 10k took place earlier in the evening.
I would visit Tavolino again in the future. This was the perfect dining choice for me after completing a hard 5k race around and up Gillette Stadium! The pizza was a great comfort choice for getting some carbs after a grueling race. I can definitely recommend the pizza based on my experience!
