Stoneforge Publick House & Tavern is an excellent choice for a fine dining experience. I had low expectations after seeing this restaurant in the same plaza as a Walmart, however, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and service. After my first visit, I came back numerous times just to enjoy the wonderful butternut squash ravioli again.
Everyone in our 6 person party really enjoyed their meals. A few ordered prime rib and Chicken Parmesan. I ordered the Butternut Ravioli, which was fantastic. Everyone agreed that whatever they used in their sauces - it really worked!
Each entree came with your choice of 2 sides. Pasta dishes came with a side salad. Bread and olive oil were available before the meal.
The menu is small, but consists of a variety of different appetizers, pastas, meats, and seafood. Highlights include a raw bar, homemade soups (including Clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque), and lots of seafood choices. Entree choices may change but have included options such as: Acorn Squash, Lobster Flatbread, Chicken Francaise, Salmon Florentine, and Shrimp Carbonara.
Prices were definitely on the high side, but in my opinion worth it for the nice atmosphere. Our total bill came out to about $180 with tip, but this also included 3 prime rib dinners and a few drinks. They have added a new lunch menu recently which is a bit more affordable. You will find a number of wraps, rice bowls, and salads to choose amongst. They also offer a Create your own chicken sandwich deal for $15 as well as a create your own wrap or salad for $10.
Our waitress was very personable and prompt. She was able to answer any questions about the menu, did not rush us, and was quick to bring refills.
Stoneforge features a very nice dining atmosphere complete with high ceilings, elegant tables, and appealing decor. There is a nice waiting area with a fireplace. The outdoor patio dining looks like it would be ideal for the warmer summer months. Live entertainment occurs most weekends.
I highly recommend Stoneforge for dining after an event; it was the perfect choice for an after graduation dinner. The food, service, and ambiance are all just perfect for celebrating any type of special occasion. I dine in Bristol County frequently as I have family members in the area and I can say Stoneforge is my favorite restaurant.
