This casual brewpub is a decent quick stop for a bite to eat and a beer after a long day exploring the beautiful St. Augustine historic district. Featuring a causal menu of pub favorites, a large beer selection, and a laid-back ambiance, Rendezvous is the perfect place to kick back with some comforting food after a long day on your feet.
The menu is pretty simple and consists of a variety of deli sandwiches, paninis, and salads. The highlight here is an extensive beer menu featuring over 350 imported beers and 6 unique taps.
Try one of the healthier menu selections like a fresh Greek salad wrap or a Grilled Chicken sandwich. Each sandwich is served with one side: the pasta salad is quite delicious. A few more vegetarian options would be nice.
The entrees are a bit pricey for the portion size, however, almost everything in the historic district is overpriced. Overall, this is a decent place for a healthy lunch before getting back to enjoying the sights of the city.
Service is good, although the restaurant seems to be a bit understaffed.
The vibe is your typical bar-like setting. Lots of beer memorabilia lining the walls and ceilings give the space an interesting touch.
Overall, Rendezvous is one of the better choices for a casual, affordable lunch on St. George Street. As it is tucked away, it remains quieter than the more touristy restaurants in the vicinity. This is a good place to stop if you are seeking comfort food in a low-key setting.
