Hard Rock Cafe is always a fun place to dine while on vacation, with Philly being no exception. This cafe is within walking distance to many attractions in both Old and Center City, so a great lunch pick in between exploring. The rock music, vibrant music theme, old-school music videos, fun drinks, and comforting foods make it one of the top themed restaurants to check out during your time in Philly.
Hard Rock's menu consists primarily of fun, comfort style foods. Not the healthiest menu in the city, yet a fun choice for anyone on vacation looking to cheat on their diet a bit. The highlight at Hard Rock is definitely the appetizer menu. Do not leave without ordering the spring rolls. These are my favorite appetizer at any restaurant. I usually get 2 orders. Even better, consider the Jumbo Platter which includes spring rolls, onion rings, tomato bruschetta, chicken tenders, and wings.
Hard Rock is most well-known for their "Legendary Steak burgers." However, the real treat on the menu is the delicious Twisted Mac and Cheese. Cavatappi pasta is tossed with a slightly spiced 4 cheese sauce and diced red peppers. If ever there was a treat, this is it!
Hard Rock also offers a number of fun specialty cocktail drinks as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Their milkshakes and desserts are super fun as well: treat yourself to the decadent Hot Fudge. And of course, for an extra charge, you can have your drink served in a souvenir glass.
Update: Hard Rock's menu has unfortunately changed for the worst in recent years. Why did they get rid of those amazing spring rolls and jumbo appetizer? The menu is more focused on burgers now. The only new app I would recommend would be the Margherita Flatbread. On the bright side, they left their amazing Twisted Mac and Cheese on the menu: but for how long?
Service has always been great at every Hard Rock I have visited. Staff never has any problems with substitutions and will gladly answer any questions you have about ingredients. The Philly location is no exception.
The ambiance here is energetic and bustling, similar to most Hard Rocks across the country. There is always great music on in the background and the decor is sure to please any music lover. The space seems a bit smaller than other Hard Rocks, however, it's still pretty easy to get a seat on the whim without a reservation.
They sell all sorts of fun knick knacks in their gift shop. You might want to take a quick browse around after ordering.
Hard Rock is conveniently located in Center City nearby many tourist attractions. Independence Mall is just a half mile walk from here, and thus, this is a great choice to kick back and enjoy some comfort foods after a long day of historical exploration. If you are in the mood for some tasty no-guilt comfort food in a casual setting, then Hard Rock is one of the best options around.
