Review Details

Durbin’s is a fun Irish pub located on the Southside of Chicago. Great specials are offered every day of the week. It’s a great place to indulge in a few drinks and appetizers on game day. As a Chicago native, I have been visiting this place since as long as I can remember. My dad is a big fan so I typically visit anytime I am back in town for a vacation.

Food

Durbin’s is most known for their tasty pizza. The menu also features traditional bar appetizers, sandwiches, pastas, and salads. The best part about the menu are the many tempting sides and appetizers. A few highlights include: pizza bread, cheesy garlic bread, spinach artichoke dip, Wisconsin cheese curds, cheesesticks, pretzel sticks, fries, and onion rings. You can also order ribs, burgers, chicken buckets, and even Jumbo Shrimp. The sandwiches are quite popular too. Options include: Meatball, Turkey Club, Chicken Parmesan, and Corned Beef.

You can’t beat the prices at this bar. They have specials every day of the week. The best special is during football season. On Sunday when the Chicago Bears are playing, they offer a $25 all-you-can-drink special, which also includes a pizza, nachos, and an entrée. While it is not the highest quality of food around, their pizza is pretty good and you really can't go wrong with tasty comfort food and appetizers!

Service

I have never had a problem with any of the waiters. Being a vegetarian, I need to make frequent substitutions and the waiters have never had a problem catering to any of my requests.

Atmosphere

This bar gets really crowded during the football games; sometimes you even have to reserve a seat in advance. This makes for a really fun game day atmosphere. Another fun day to go is on Saturday nights when they have karaoke.

Final Words

Durbin’s is a fun day out with affordable drink and appetizer specials. I recommend trying out the $25 all-you-can-drink special during the Chicago Bears games.
