Review Details

Chill Restaurant & Lounge is a fantastic choice for those seeking a classy, yet casual dining experience in the St. Pete Beach area. The eclectic menu will appeal to a wide variety of diners, including those following a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free diet.

This cozy, laid-back restaurant is the perfect choice before/after a walk around the historic Corey Avenue shopping district, conveniently located just across the street. Also, a great breakfast choice prior to shopping at the weekly Farmer's Market.

Food

The Chill breakfast menu features mostly traditional favorites, such as omelets, waffles, and crepes, and also a handful of specialties, such as Vegan Hash, Gluten-Free Waffles, and Shrimp and Grits. The Veggie Omelet and Vegan Hash we tried were both wonderful. The seasoning used in the hash was just perfect. A full Espresso bar is available to compliment your breakfast. The Americano and Mochas were delicious! They used to have the best coffeeshop called Steam attached to the restaurant but it closed down several years ago unfortunately.

Lunch at Chill includes a variety of entree choices including: sandwiches, salads, wraps, vegan dishes (Roasted Spaghetti Squash, Veggie Tacos, etc.) and Chef’s Specials (Fish Tacos, Crab Mac & Cheese, etc.). One of the chefs is vegetarian, so you will find more of a variety on the menu.

You will also find a rather large tapas menu (In Spain, Tapas refers to small plate and appetizer sized dishes which are shared family style to make up a full meal). Each dish you order will be served to you when it is ready.

This dinner menu features a wide variety of salads, appetizers (Stuffed Olives, Escargots, etc.), vegetables (Mashed Cauliflower, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, etc.), seafood (Juniper Berry Salmon, Fish Tacos, Fiesta Shrimp, etc.), beef (Carne Argentina, Bourbon Mushroom Steak, etc.), and a variety of chicken & pasta plates.

All ingredients are fresh and food is cooked to order, not frozen or pre-packaged. A full drink menu is also available, including a great selection of margaritas, wines, and mixed drinks.

Service

Service is fast and fantastic. I have not had any problems with asking for small substitutions. Menu items are clearly marked according to allergen contained so you do not have to ask your waiter.

Atmosphere

Chill is a quaint, cozy style restaurant which fits in perfectly with the laid-back St. Pete Beach vibe. Whether you are looking for a casual Sunday brunch destination, or a classy space for a chill, romantic night out, you are sure to be pleased.

Final Words

I would definitely recommend breakfast at Chill prior to any area activities. It is an especially good choice prior to visiting the Farmer's Market, held every Sunday from 10am-2pm. Taking a look at the lunch menu, I am eager to try out a few items, especially the Roasted Spaghetti Squash, Quinoa Stuffed Butternut Squash, and the Veggie Tacos.
