Review Details

The Audubon Bar, located inside the charming historic Arizona Inn, is a wonderful place for an upscale weekend brunch date. Regardless of whether or not you are staying on-site, it's worth a trip over to this beautiful historic property.

The Audubon Inn, compared to the Inn's Main Dining Room, features a more laid-back setting, offering a non-stuffy alternative for those looking for more of an upscale casual dining experience. I love the food and the beautiful ambiance here. As a local, it is one of my top picks for a casual weekend date.

Food

Brunch is the best time to enjoy a meal at The Audubon Inn. The menu features both traditional selections, as well as regional Southwestern specialties. Treat yourself to a serving of Blue Corn pancakes topped with prickly pear syrup. Or stick to a classic like Eggs Benedict or an Omelet.

The food here is quite good, and also nicely presented. I recommend trying out one of the regional Southwestern specialties like the Blue Corn pancakes or the Breakfast tacos. However, if you are in the mood for something more traditional, the Vegetarian omelet, which is stuffed with tomatoes, avocado, spinach, and Havarti cheese, is quite satisfying. The omelet is served alongside the most delicious breakfast potatoes and an English muffin.

The coffee here is quite good for a hotel restaurant. Or, if your prefer to try something a bit more regional, opt for the very popular Prickly Pear Mimosa.

The presentation here is great and the food not too overpriced considering the pretty setting and upscale service.

Update: The menu changes frequently. Current selections as of 2025 include: Malted Pancakes, Crunchy Brioche French Toast, and Huevos Rancheros. Lunch and dinner menu highlights include: Clam Chowder soup, Arizona Inn Quesadilla, Arizona Inn Chicken Salad, and a Smoked Turkey sandwich.

Service

Service at The Audubon Bar is very attentive and professional. The vibe is classy and upscale, and thus, perfect for a morning brunch date.

Atmosphere

The Audubon Bar is beautifully decorated in an attractive garden-like setting. The Main Dining Room is a bit more elegant, although a bit more stuffy too. The Audubon Bar is perfect for anyone who enjoys nature as there are lots of lovely plants around and great views of the landscaping outside.

During the holiday season, you must take a look at the Inn's beautiful library, which is decorated gorgeously for the holidays with a grand 14 foot Christmas tree. For decades, locals have enjoyed opening holiday gifts in front of the roaring Mesquite fireplace.

Final Words

Overall, brunch at The Arizona Inn is a wonderful experience. As one of the better upscale brunch choices in town, it's worth a visit if you are seeking a great place to take a date or celebrate a special occasion. This is my brunch destination of choice before seeing a show at the wonderful Fox Theater.
