If you are looking for somewhere great to eat after visiting the wonderful Philadelphia Museum of art, Angelino's is a wonderful family owned local gem to consider. They serve great Italian food in a cozy space. Dining here is the perfect compliment to an afternoon exploring the wonderful collection at the art museum.
Angelino's offers a big menu of traditional Italian favorites. Starters include options such as mac and cheese bites, garlic tomato bruschetta, or mozzarella sticks. Consider trying one of their specialty pizzas, of which more than a dozen creative varieties are available. The Veggie Pizza, which is loaded with broccoli, olives, tomatoes, red onion, mushrooms, and bell peppers, is a great choice for vegetarians.
As far as entrees go, there are a number of categories to choose amongst. From pasta plates, to stromboli, to rustic sandwiches, to wraps, there are no shortage of interesting selections. The chicken parmesan and vegetable lasagna are both excellent choices. We enjoyed every bite. Many Italian places don't offer a veggie version, and I have to say I was pleased. Next on our must-try list: Lobster Ravioli and Eggplant Parmesan! Each is served with a side salad and garlic bread. All the food here is freshly made from scratch.
Service here was very friendly and courteous. Meals were well-timed and presented nicely.
The vibe here is casual, cozy, and family-friendly. The decor is very appealing with beautiful plants everywhere. Visit during lunch for a more peaceful dining experience. During the warmer months, you can enjoy a lovely patio dining experience.
Angelino's is your best bet for a great meal after visiting any of Philly's nearby museums. The delicious food, affordable pricing, and casual ambiance make this the perfect choice for families or couples seeking an affordable lunch date. I highly recommend treating yourself to a delicious plate of veggie lasanga!
