The Mirage, a 4.5 star property with a convenient center Strip location, is amongst the best resorts in Vegas. Compared to other similar class resorts, the rates are surprisingly low, especially when you consider the great on-site amenities.

Offering one of the top pools in Vegas, lush tropical landscaping, and several great restaurants, it's an easy choice when considering other more expensive options.

Appearance

The Mirage is surrounded by lush landscaping. The tropical theme is quite appealing as it definitely says vacation. If you feel like you need a mini escape from it all, The Mirage is definitely your best bet.

The Mirage is classy, clean, never too noisy or crowded, and offers just the right amount of amenities. There is a small shopping and dining section, although not the miles on end you find in others casinos. It's much easier to get in and out of this resort. It never feels overwhelming as some of the bigger resorts do.

Amenities

The Mirage is famous for being home to some of the most notable attractions in Vegas including the famous Volcano eruption show, the massive 20,000 gallon saltwater aquarium behind the front desk, a beautiful Rainforest atrium, and Sigfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat.

The beautiful pool area is as good as it gets in Vegas, with palm trees and tropical plants everywhere, a pool side bar, lots of lounger chairs, a massive hot tub, and pretty waterfalls. Relaxing poolside on a hot summer day is the perfect way to escape the heat. As an added perk, hotel guests can use the pool all day after check out!

The resort fee is a bit steep at $33.60, however, all Vegas hotels are now charging hefty fees. This includes wi-fi, as well as access to the fitness center, spa, and beautiful pool area.

The Mirage has an excellent on-site coffee shop known as The Roasted Bean. The drinks are tasty and smooth, and the cute sitting area features vintage tea and coffee pieces. Sit down and relax for a bit as opposed to grabbing a Starbucks to go.

The on-site restaurant options are pretty great here. Portofino is a nice upscale Italian choice and Fin is a great Asian themed choice. Tom Colicchio's Heritage Steak is another date night choice.

The buffet here, known as Cravings, is affordable and surprisingly pretty decent, especially the mini dessert selection!

Other casual restaurant choices include California Pizza Kitchen and BLT Burger. If you need a quick snack after a long night on the strip, the 24/7 Pantry restaurant is always there for you.

In terms of entertainment, tickets to the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil and Terry Fator (winner of Season 2 of America's Got Talent) are 2 fantastic options. Also check the line-up of great comedians.

A trip to the Beatles Shop is a must for any Beatles fan. Here you will find absolutely everything Beatles related, from collectible lunch boxes, to mugs, even blankets and luggage!
