10 Great Allergy Friendly Restaurants in Orlando
7. Bikes, Beans, & Bordeaux (Audubon Park Garden District of Orlando)
Bikes, Beans, & Bordeaux is a wonderful neighborhood cafe offering both traditional and allergy friendly meals, a relaxing atmosphere, and unique cycling decor.
At B3, you will find a variety of menu items that are suitable for a gluten-free or vegan diet. The house soup is a delicious Black Bean soup, which is both dairy and gluten-free. Many sandwiches can easily be made gluten-free by substituting for gluten-free bread. You will find a variety of turkey, ham, and veggie based creations to choose amongst.
The Tour Mediterraneen (minus the Feta Cheese) is a great hummus and veggie based sandwich for vegans and vegetarians. Sandwiches are served with organic tortilla chips and a pickle. A full coffee menu and a selection of dairy and non-dairy smoothies are available.
Whether you feel like meeting up with friends for a cup of coffee or enjoying a delicious lunch, Bikes, Beans, & Bordeaux offers a low key setting for an enjoyable afternoon outing.
8. Hard Rock Cafe (Universal CityWalk)
Despite being a touristy restaurant with dozens of locations around the world, Hard Rock actually serves up some pretty tasty dishes. While the majority of the menu is off limits to those following a gluten-free diet, you will still be able to modify meals to create a dish without gluten. Staff is very accommodating to those with allergies. They also use a dedicated fryer for gluten-free goods which means you can enjoy the fantastic fries and potato skins! Most burgers, salads, and sandwiches can be prepared gluten-free (ask for the gluten-free bun).
Vegan options are a bit more limited, however, if you replace the cheese with avocados and extra veggies on one of the salads, you will have a nice filling meal. The salads at Hard Rock are huge with tons of large, filling veggie toppings. Other options include a veggie burger or sandwich (minus the cheese), bruschetta (minus the cheese) and nachos (minus the cheese).
On a side note, if you plan on visiting the Universal theme parks (and you should as they are awesome, especially with the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter), you should order discounted tickets online. This great park to park Universal ticket deal includes 2 days free when you buy 2.
