6. Mythos (Universal Studio’s Island of Adventures)

Mythos Restaurant at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure

Mythos, located inside Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, has won numerous awards including 6 titles as best theme park restaurant (Theme Park Insider ranked it the theme park best restaurant from 2003-2009). The cave like setting and great views of the park provide a quite enjoyable setting. Mythos is the perfect place to take a refreshing break from the heat without feeling like you are leaving the theme park atmosphere. It is much more convenient than the hassle and time involved with leaving the park to visit a CityWalk restaurant.

The attractive cave inspired theme is what sets Mythos apart from most theme park restaurants.

Taking a longer break at a sit down versus picking up a quick snack at a counter service restaurant allows you to take that much needed break after being on your feet all day. More importantly, the sit down restaurants are much more accommodating towards diners with special dietary requests. Mythos is a wonderful choice with an abundance of gluten-free and vegetarian choices. Your waiter will even bring you out some special gluten-free rolls and olive oil so you don’t feel left out from the rest of your party.

All menu items which can be prepared gluten-free are noted as so on the menu, and if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask your waiter as the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. When your meals our brought out, you will be reassured that you received the correct allergy friendly dish.

Although there are a handful of great items on the menu, the Pad Thai is simply delicious and unique. It can be made both gluten-free and vegan (swap out the chicken and shrimp for extra veggies to make it vegetarian/vegan). This is one meal that everyone in your party will want to test out!
