Woods Seafood is located directly on the waterfront in Plymouth, Massachusetts, which makes it the perfect restaurant choice for those craving fresh seafood. If you are a fan of seafood, then Wood’s should definitely be on your Plymouth to-do list. They have everything seafood related on their menu including: lobster, shrimp, fried fish, haddock, salmon, lobster and seafood salads, lobster and seafood rolls, and plenty of seafood appetizers.

Mike and I visited Wood’s when my father was in town as he is a huge lobster fan. He makes it a point to visit this restaurant each time he visits town.

Lobster at Wood's Seafood

I am not a fan of seafood, however, everyone at my table really loved their meal. Mike loved his baked haddock and clam chowder soup. My dad enjoyed his meal so much that he came back twice for the lobster during a single weekend.  Prices are pretty reasonable for fresh seafood. The bill was only $40 for 4 people, and that includes lobster and baked haddock. Not too bad! The best part for me was the beautiful views from the dining room. Check out the picture below!

Overall, Wood’s is highly recommended for those looking for great seafood. If you don’t eat seafood you will want to skip out on this restaurant, as their entire menu consists solely of seafood! The only vegetarian options would include a small garden salad, fries, and onion rings.

The main advantage of Wood’s is the central location; you can walk right over to several souvenir shops, take pictures by the water, or stroll a bit farther down to visit the Plymouth Rock and Mayflower attractions. There are a few parking meters available, which I imagine will all be full on the busy summer weekends.  I recommend visiting during a slower weekday to ensure a spot! Or better yet, find a free spot along one of the side streets and take a nice walk!
