Worcester St. Patrick’s Day Parade

This weekend I attend the 2013 Worcester St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Luckily, the weather was unusually warm for New England (middle 50s after a big snow storm is nice!). The parade had some interesting floats, but wasn’t as big or festive as other St. Pats Day parades I have attended in other areas. I love going to St. Patrick’s Day parades mostly for listening to the Irish music. The video above is a sample of some bag pippers. Enjoy!

I love St. Patricks Day and I truly enjoyed it this year. It would have been nice if we had people playing bagpipes in our parade. I just went to the bar with my friends and met a lot of cool people. Thanks for the video of the bag pippers.

Way of celebrating St Patrick’s as well was to drink a red beer from Northern Ireland. It was lovely! Cheers!

Pipe music makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. It’s so powerful and beautiful. St Patrick’s Day is huge in some parts of the US, yet in the UK we don’t really celebrate it – not to the extent that you guys do, which is a shame. I have friends in New York and one of them works in a bar. They had a right good knees up yesterday if the Facebook photos are anything to go by!
