Wild Iris Coffee House (Prescott, Arizona)

Wild Iris Coffee House in Prescott AZ

This cute local coffee house is a refreshing change in a town populated with many big box chains. Located in Prescott’s charming cowboy themed downtown, Wild Iris is just steps away from famous Whiskey Row. Aside from wonderfully brewed drinks, Wild Iris excels in providing quality service.

There are lots of loose leaf tea options for the non-coffee drinker, along with the most delicious assortment of made-from-scratch pastries! Rococo Coffee Roasting is the source of beans and baristas are well trained in making quality espresso drinks. And don’t leave without trying the delicious homemade quiche: a perfect compliment to any great cup of coffee!

Whether lounging inside the historic building or outside on the cozy courtyard, Wild Iris is the perfect place to linger over your morning drink.

Higher Grounds Coffee Shop (Pagosa Springs, Colorado)

Higher Grounds in Pagosa Springs CO

Offering a cozy lounge area, delicious espresso drinks (Allegro coffee is used), and a local community feel, Higher Grounds is definitely your best bet for a relaxing coffee experience in Pagosa Springs. If you find yourself visiting Southwestern Colorado (and you should as the hiking and waterfalls are amazing!), I recommended taking a relaxing recovery break here before/after your adventures.

Wild Joe’s (Bozeman, Montana)

Wild Joe’s is hands down the best coffee/tea shop in Bozeman, along with one of the best I have ever visited. This cute little shop is located right in the middle of Bozeman’s charming downtown neighborhood. The 100+ year old building retains the classic old-time charm including the original wood floors.

Wild Joe’s offers the ultimate relaxing setting, from the comfy couches, to extra touches like board games and books. The attractive old-fashioned setting was inspired by the vintage coffee shops of New York’s Greenwich Village.

Beans are roasted by 2 small local Montana roasters: Red Bird and Little Red Wagon. They also offer almost any dairy-free milk you can think of, including goat, hemp, and coconut milk. Non coffee-drinkers will appreciate the extensive loose leaf tea list (over 50 options!) and a diverse selection of chai drinks.

Location: 18 West Main Street Bozeman, MT

What’s nearby?: Dozens of hiking trails in the warmer months, skiing at Bridger Bowl in winter, and strolling around the fantastic downtown shops year-round.

JoZoara Coffeehouse (Murfreesboro, Tennessee)

Update: Closed

This cozy little coffeehouse in Murfreesboro, a quiet little suburb just 40 min outside of Nashville, still stands as one of my all time favorites. Something about the cozy atmosphere and Southern friendliness just stands out to me still to this day. I always find myself going back whenever in the Nashville area.

The drinks are always perfectly brewed by smiling, friendly baristas.

Whether looking to get a little work done, or simply needing a refreshing break from the day, JoZoara is sure to please with its’ cozy atmosphere and delicious espresso drinks.
