The best place for a casual Italian meal in Naples is Joey D's. Here you can count on a menu of your favorite traditional Italian foods. As one of only a few NY style pizza places in the region, it's worth a stop. I love NY pizza and it was decent enough to recommend.
The menu consists of your basic Italian specialities like pizza, pasta dishes, subs, and appetizers. The pizza was decent, nothing to write home about, but good enough to warrant a visit. The Eggplant Parmesan was pretty good as well, although a tad overpriced.
The service was super slow despite an empty restaurant. We had to get up several times to find someone for refills or extra napkins.
The ambiance is super basic, not much in the décor department. They do offer a nice outdoor patio, although it can get pretty noisy on busy weekends. The space appeared clean.
Joey D's is worth a visit if you are craving NY style pizza. As there are not many decent choices in this area, this is your best bet. While the food is decent enough, the service is sub par and the prices a bit high for the region.
