Sabrina's is a great local breakfast choice with multiple Philly locations. They offer an interesting menu that offers much more than standard breakfast fare. Consider filling up with a great breakfast here before exploring one of the only museums in the world dedicated to the unique works of sculptor Auguste Rodin.
Sabrina's is definitely the place to go for brunch in Philly. They serve a wonderful menu loaded with both traditional, as well as more modern fare. There's even a handful of options for vegetarians. They serve great coffee and espresso drinks and even offer seasonal specials throughout the year.
The Ultimate Mexi Scramble is the perfect choice if you are craving something savory. This dish consists of scrambled eggs topped with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese. Served alongside are tasty black bean grits, cilantro pesto, corn chips, and avocado. As I vegetarian, I loved this dish and would order again.
Anyone looking for something a bit more on the healthy side will want to consider the Avocado toast, Quinoa bowl, or the house made granola.
There's lot of tempting sweet options too for anyone looking to satisfy that sweet tooth. Consider the Challah French Toast, Whole Wheat Pancakes, or the Cannoli French Toast. One specialty recently on the menu, the Tie-Dye pancakes, features 2 buttermilk rainbow sprinkle pancakes, with orange ricotta frosting, blueberry lemon lavender butter and orange ricotta frosting. I am tempted to try this even though I am not huge on sweets - it sounds really good!
Service was pretty decent. The food did not take as long as we were expecting based on the crowd level.
The ambiance is cozy and casual, nothing too fancy, so a great choice if you will be walking around the city all day.
As expected, this place is busy every weekend. It's a bit loud due to the cramped tables and crowd levels. Also, it can be hard to walk in and get a seat on a busy weekend. Fortunately, the food is pretty good, and thus, the wait is at least warranted. If you prefer, you can sign up for the wait list on their website.
Any new tourist visiting the city will definitely want to plan for brunch at Sabrina's. This is one of your best bets in the city for a filling, affordable, and delicious breakfast. The Fairmount Cafe's convenient location to various city attractions like the Rodin earns it a few bonus points.
