Although Tucson is noticeably missing an Irish pub, there is a wonderful British pub which offers all your standard UK pub fare and throws an awesome St. Patrick's day party each year. St. Pat's day or not, The Canyon Crown is the place to go for amazing fish and chips. This lively pub is the best place in town to catch the game while indulging in some comforting pub style food. They are known for their amazing food and great ambiance. I love the mac and cheese here!
In addition to serving the best fish and chips in town, The Canyon Crown also serves a winning macaroni and cheese that is so deliciously creamy and worthy of the extra calories. I loved this dish and would return just to enjoy it again. Mike enjoyed the Fried Chicken sandwich. I also loved the Mediterranean salad which was topped with sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, cucumbers, red onions, and artichokes in a balsamic vinegar dressing. Along with all the traditional UK favorites, you will find a selection of sandwiches and filling salads. You will find lots of great appetizers on the menu, making this pub the perfect place to enjoy a few fried snacks while catching a game. The spinach artichoke dip is amazing. Other popular appetizers include Irish nachos, Crisps with Cajun or Italian seasoning, Crab and Cheese dip, and Steamed Mussels.
Canyon Crown offers a number of salad options if you are craving something on the healthier side. The salads are ginormous, with the large being plenty enough to serve 2. The Chicken Curry is another great "healthier" alternative.
Standard pub fare includes favorites such as Shepherd's Pie, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Guinness Pie, a traditional English Breakfast plate, and of course, Fish and Chips.
Happy Hour runs from 3-6pm and 9-close and includes $1 off all appetizers and drinks.
Waiters are always pretty friendly even when it's super busy!
The vibe at The Canyon Crown is laid-back. With 10 big flat screen TV's & NFL Network, it's a game day hotspot during football season. Every March, they throw the Best St. Patrick's Day party in town with the bar all decked out in green decor and plenty of drink/food specials. This place gets packed after Tucson's annual St. Pat's day parade and the lively vibe continues on at the pub with all the locals decked out in their best green gear.
The Canyon Crown is a must stop for anyone seeking a great pub, which offers delicious food and a great game day atmosphere. The lively ambiance, diverse menu, and abundance of flat screen TV's easily make The Canyon Crown the top choice when it comes to quality pubs in the Tucson area. I loved the food and the energetic vibe and would definitely return, St. Patrick's day or not!
