P.F. Chang's is one of my favorite chains: I love the food and the setting. This particular P.F. Chang's has the prime advantage of being located on the waterfront in the Shoreline Village area of Long Beach. I dined here frequently while living in the region because I loved the waterfront vibe. This restaurant is also located within walking distance to many shops and activities in the area including the Aquarium of the Pacific. Enjoy a nice walk around Shoreline Village before or after your meal.
P.F. Chang's offers a big menu of Asian favorites. You will find all the traditional favorites on the menu. I recommend starting with the delicious egg drop soup and veggie spring rolls. The lettuce wraps (available in tofu or chicken) are also fabulous. I come here mainly for the Happy Hour specials which are much cheaper than the normal menu prices. The Buddha's feast, Veggie fried rice, and Lo Mein are all fantastic.
Service could have been better, but I guess that is the trade off for sitting on the nice outdoor patio. I will take the extra noise and slower service for the great views any day!
P.F. Chang's is a classy stylish restaurant. It feels fancier than a lot of other chain restaurants. This location on the waterfront in Long Beach is especially nice. This is the perfect spot for date night. I love the outdoor terrace, although at night it is extremely hard to read the menu.
I recommend P.F. Chang's for the great food, stylish decor, and in the case of this location, the fabulous waterfront scenery.
