Camden Deli is located in the picturesque Maine coastal town of Camden in the waterfront downtown area. This charming area is home to several great local restaurants and shops. This local gem is a great lunch choice following a full morning hiking at gorgeous Camden Hills State Park. I enjoyed the abundance of healthy vegetarian options.
The menu features a variety of homemade sandwiches, salads, and wraps. I ordered a veggie wrap which featured a delicious combination of fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion, sprouts, cucumber, shaved carrot and creamy dill dressing. The menu includes several vegetarian options which are conveniently marked.
Of course, they offer all the standard deli sandwiches, along with crab and lobster rolls, salads, and a make your own selection. Breakfast includes an assortment of sandwiches, wraps, omelets, and a few sweet treats including Wild Maine Blueberry Pancakes.
They also offer a selection of Maine Root sodas and espresso drinks and also homemade desserts to cap off the meal.
The restaurant was busy, but the people at the deli were still friendly and provided quick service.
The best feature here is an attractive outdoor rooftop balcony overlooking the harbor. The spectacular views combined with fantastic food makes for the perfect afternoon in this charming coastal city.
Camden Deli is a fantastic option for a light lunch on the waterfront. After lunch, you can spend the afternoon walking around the beautiful downtown area while taking in the serene harbor views.
