Mike & Tony's Gyros
Mike & Tony's offers the best Happy Hour deal in Pittsburgh. While it is not the best dinner date destination in the metro, it is a great pick for anyone who seeks a casual place to enjoy Happy Hour drink and appetizer specials. Since opening in 1973, the family-owned business has expanded to include 5 locations. Serving a mix of Greek and American fare, at affordable prices, it's a great pick for anyone seeking a casual night out destination.
Food
Happy Hour is Monday-Friday, from 4-6pm and includes select 1/2 priced appetizers and draft beer. My favorite appetizer deals include the nachos, the spinach feta dip, and the loaded fries. Outside of happy hours, the spanakopita and pierogies are also worthy of a try.
If visiting for lunch, there are a number of sandwiches and gyros to choose amongst. For the health conscious, the veggie wrap is pretty decent. Sandwiches come with fries or onion rings although the fries are not crispy or fresh enough for my liking. For an 2 extra bucks, you can add on a fresh Greek salad. The Chicken Gyro is another decent choice.
Greek specialities include a Gyro Plate and a Souvlaki Plate. The Athena Plate is quite popular and includes marinated grilled chicken served on rice pilaf with a lemon cream sauce, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, kalamata olives, and pita bread.
Pricing is quite affordable here even if you visit outside of the Happy hour deal.
For dessert, treat yourself to a Baklava priced just under 3 bucks.
Service
Service is a hit and miss, sometimes very attentive and other times slow.
Atmosphere
The vibe is very sports oriented with multiple flat screen TVs and beer related decor. I prefer to sit on the patio at the Moon Township location during the warmer spring and summer months. If you like to dine outdoors, the Moon location offers the best patio. There are lots of trees, and thus, the vibe is perfect for enjoying some apps and drinks for Happy Hour. Unfortunately, the many smokers often ruin the ambiance.

Definitely check out Mike & Tony's during their popular Happy Hours. If you enjoy the appetizers, come back and try out their full menu. While the app selection is great, they also serve great Gyros and sandwiches.
