This casual Italian restaurant has been a popular destination in the historic Strip District for years. If you find yourself exploring The Stip, definitely stop here for a great comfort meal. The food and service are both great and you are within walking distance of many ethnic grocers, coffeeshops, and sports stands.

Food

Bella Notte is most popular for their hoagies and specialty pizzas, although they do offer calzones, pasta dishes, wraps, and a number of filling salads.

We tried the Chicken Parmesan hoagie and also the Pasta of the Day. While the hoagie itself was great, the fact that they don't serve fries (only chips) was a bit of a bummer. The pasta of the day was a delicious marinara with sauteed zucchini and topped with Wisconsin cheese. It was filling, healthy, and a nice large portion.

Service

Service was great - our waitress had no problem making a few minor substitutions.

Atmosphere

The vibe is definitely more sports bar than upscale Italian dining. If you are seeking something laid-back, Bella is a great choice. The outdoor patio is perfect for people watching during the warmer season, especially if there is an event going on.

Final Remarks

Bella Notte is a great casual Italian dining choice in The Strip District. The laid-back ambiance, and delicious affordable entrees makes it the perfect choice for tourists and locals seeking a good value and good food. After your meal, stop by the Pennsylvania Macaroni Co, a long time staple for Italian foods.
