The Bayside Buffet inside of the Mandalay Bay Casino has been my least favorite out of all the Las Vegas buffets that I have tested out to date. There are definitely better buffets on The Strip (The Bellagio, The Mirage). Even though the setting is nice, the food is horrible!
The food at Bayside Buffet was not good, in fact, it was even verging on horrible. Everything was stale. Nothing on the buffet line was refilled - half the stations were empty. The salad bar was tiny and barely offered any options.
More than half of the options were stale sushi/Japanese food that did not look appetizing at all. If you don't like sushi I guess you are out of luck. I feel like I wasted a lot of money eating here!
Prices are expensive especially for what you get. We paid $25 a person for brunch to eat a bunch of stale garbage! I was so dissapointed in this buffet!
Pricing is as follows: Breakfast: $15.99 $12.99 for Children (up to age 12), Lunch: $19.99 $13.99 for Children (up to age 12)
Dinner: $29.99 $21.99 for Children (up to age 12), and Brunch: $24.99 $20.99 for Children (up to age 12)
The only service we had was for drinks and clearing of the plates. Our plates continued to pile up during our time at the buffet and drinks were never refilled. Definitely the worst service that I have experienced at any Vegas restaurant!
The only nice aspect of this buffet was the setting. There were nice views of the tropical gardens from the seating area. However, the seating was also uncomfortable because it was very crowded and cramped with barely any personal space available The tables need to be more spread out. I also would have preferred private booths.
The Bayside Buffet at the Mandalay Bay Casino was a disappointing experience. Everything was bad from the stale food to the lack of variety to the cramped seating. I do not recommend this buffet. Don't settle for the Bayside Buffet when there are plenty of other more attractive options right down the road!
