Welcome Diner offers your classic diner fare, along with a few modern twists. The big benefit of dining at Welcome Diner, as opposed to a more traditional diner, is that you get to enjoy that good old-fashioned diner ambiance, only with the added benefit of a more modern menu consisting of healthier entrees featuring ingredients from local companies.
The diner works with many local companies including a great local coffee roaster, 2 great bakeries, and various farms. Everything here is totally fresh and always perfectly cooked. Hands down, their hash browns and biscuits are by far the top in town.
If you feel like ordering something traditional, go with the Classic Breakfast, featuring 2 eggs cooked your way, hash browns, and a biscuit. It's a massive serving and quite affordable - not bad considering the use of local ingredients.
If you are up for something unique, the Roasted Vegetable plate is a must-try. This savory dish includes 2 eggs over peppers, mushrooms, and squash, topped with salsas, cotija cheese, and cilantro. The dish is served alongside hand pressed tortillas and hash browns. It's very filling and amazingly delicious.
Service
Servers are always friendly here, even when they are packed (which is basically every single weekend). It can take a really long time to get seated and get your food, so avoid weekends, if possible.
Atmosphere
The ambiance really sets this restaurant apart from the bunch. The classic diner vibe, including the central bar that was so common back in the old days, will leave you with a feeling of nostalgia. The room is bright and cheerful with an overall positive vibe.
