Sleeping Moon Cafe
Sleeping Moon Cafe is an interesting local coffee shop with a big personality. This funky little cafe is located in Winter Park, just 20 minutes or so from Orlando. Skip the bland chains in favor of a great cup of coffee at this fun local gem.
Food
Sleeping Moon offers a full coffee bar and food menu. The Americanos was fantastic - not too strong nor too weak. The unique artistic setting and relaxed vibe will make you think twice about ever simply grabbing your coffee on the go again.
Food includes sandwiches (Tuna melt, grilled cheese), wraps, rice bowls, and a few appetizers. Even gluten-free and vegan guests can find a few choices (guacamole and blue corn chips, vegan rice bowls, and a black bean burger).
Any cafe that offers gluten-free and vegan choices is always a plus in my book.
Service
Staff were friendly and quick to make the drinks.
Atmosphere
The highlight of visiting Sleeping Moon is taking in all the interesting decor. Everywhere you look you will notice interesting design (guitars on the wall, a British themed table, lit up trees, local artwork, vintage coffee and tea equipment, etc.). It's an interesting place to visit as there is just so much going on in terms of decor.
There is a big comfy couch to enjoy your drink in a non-hurried rejuvenating atmosphere. You will also find Chess and a handful of other board games. In addition, be on the lookout for various live music events throughout the month.

Sleeping Moon is a great choice for anyone looking for something a little different in Orlando. If you are tired of the standard chains, you are in luck as Sleeping Moon offers a vibrant alternative. The relaxed vibe of this local cafe beats the hurried, business like atmosphere of your typical coffee chains any day of the week.
