A trip to Pittsburgh wouldn't be complete without a trip to Station Square, home to specialty shops, several tourist attractions, and a variety of themed restaurants such as Hard Rock Cafe. We collect souvenir Hurricane glasses at different Hard Rock locations across the country, therefore, Pittsburgh was no exception. Our dinner decision was easily finalized after discovering that a Hard Rock location existed downtown.

Being in town for just one night and tired after a long day on the road, we need something we could count on. We enjoyed our casual dinner at Hard Rock, followed by a ride up to the observation deck to take in the amazing views of the Pittsburgh skyline.

Pittsburgh is one of the best places for city photography; what a beautiful city! Make sure to walk over to the deck to take in this gorgeous views after your lunch or dinner.

There was no need for either of us to view a menu. We ordered our usual favorites. Most of the Hard Rock menu items are pretty good for a chain restaurant.

Fresh spring rolls came out first as our appetizer. Stick with these rolls as your appetizer; you won't be disappointed! We have been ordering these for years!

For my entree, I decided on the delicious Twisted Macaroni and Cheese, while Mike enjoyed a Turkey Burger. A twist on the original comfort food classic, Hard Rock's Macaroni and Cheese offers a spicy variation.

Other items on the menu include: burgers, pizza, steak, fajitas, pasta, and much more! Hard Rock also offers a large selection of specialty drinks, which can be ordered in one of their famous souvenir glasses.

Service at the Pittsburgh location was one of the poorest yet, partly due to the fact that the bartender was also serving as our waitress. Perhaps the need to hire more weekday staff needs to be addressed? The service was a bit blah, not as upbeat as usual.

The decor included a visually appealing color changing angel statue over the bar. The restaurant felt modern with the Rock N' Roll vibe, similar to many of the other Hard Rock locations, while still holding its' own unique charm. As always, a great Hard Rock soundtrack accompanied our meal.

Final Remarks

Hard Rock Pittsburgh would likely turn up again on my future Pittsburgh restaurant/activity itinerary. You can always count on delicious, consistent food and a fun time at Hard Rock!
