The Hunt Room, located inside of Founders Inn and Spa in Virginia Beach Virginia, offers American food in a casual setting. This is the more relaxed option out of the 2 dining choices offered at the resort. Plasma screen televisions and a pool table make this restaurant an option for those looking to relax and watch the game.
The menu was very limited and did not include much of a selection, especially for vegetarians. Besides a salad, the only menu item which I could eat was the macaroni and cheese. I was pleasantly surprised with the homemade taste. My boyfriend however was disappointed in his tiny fish and chips entrée, which was extremely overpriced at $14.

Service here was nothing special, which came as a surprise as the service in all other areas of the inn was pretty exceptional. I was not impressed with the waiter or service we received.
The Hunt Room is set in a small dining room with wood tables and a pool table and plasma TVs. This restaurant seemed to be a cross between a casual and fine dining restaurant, which gave it a bit of an odd feeling. The restaurant could be improved if they stuck with one theme.
Overall, I was not pleased with the service, prices, or lack of menu items. I only recommend The Hunt Room for those staying at Founders Inn and Spa who wish to dine at the property as opposed to driving around trying to find a restaurant. The Hunt Room works for inn guests whom are more concerned with convenience rather than a nice dining experience.
