The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite chain restaurants. What sets this chain apart from others are the great prices, variety of comfort foods, huge menu, large portions, great service, and great decor. And, most importantly, the decadent selection of specialty cheesecakes!
This particular location was one of the best yet. Conveniently located inside South Shore Plaza in Braintree, The Cheesecake Factory is a great place to stop for a moderately priced tasty lunch. This mall is pretty large, so you will want to take a break, give your feet a much needed break, and fill up on some tasty comfort food!
Food
You can find just about anything and everything on The Cheesecake Factory menu. Most notably, their fresh salads, appetizers, and cheesecake are the best. In terms of apps, I highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip, the fried zucchini, and the eggroll sampler.
The Vegan Cobb salad is a delicious combination of lettuce, avocado, roasted beets, green beans, tomato, grilled asparagus, Avocado, Roasted Beets, Green Beans, cucumber, carrot, tomato, quinoa, almonds and pepitas, farro, and house vinaigrette. Fresh, filling, healthy and the perfect choice for vegetarians and health conscious diners.
Another great light lunch option is Renee's Fresh Turkey or Chicken Almond Salad sandwich. Each is served with a cup of soup and small green salad.
As far as cheesecake goes, you really cannot beat the Godiva chocolate. That is until the holiday Pumpkin and Peppermint Bark make an appearance!
On this occasion, I ordered the Fresh Vegetable Salad (update - sadly this fantastic salad is no longer on the menu. However, the vegan cobb is a delicious alternative).
You are also served white and brown bread, both of which are delicious especially the brown bread (some type of honey wheat bread).
Service
Our waiter was friendly and not over pushy. I hate restaurants where they bother you to order a particular menu item or keep pushing you to order appetizers and drinks.
Everything was brought over pretty quickly. Water refills came just in time. The waiter accommodated my substitution requests without any problems.
Atmosphere
All Cheesecake Factory locations feature elegant casual decor. I love the high ceilings because they make the restaurant feel bigger. Seating is not cramped and sitting in a private booth you feel like you can have a conversation without anyone overhearing you unlike some restaurants where you sit on top of other guests.
Final Remarks
I recommend The Cheesecake Factory at South Shore Plaza because of the great service, decor, and food. Everyone in your party is sure to find something on the large menu (over 200 selections).
I love this location because you can have a light lunch in between shopping or a filling dinner after a long day walking around the mall.
