The service was a bit slow, however, the restaurant was extremely busy and I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere sitting outside on the deck.
The atmopshere was absolutely perfect! We chose to sit in the outdoor dining area, which provides beautiful views of Newport Harbor. I loved watching the different boats and cruises taking off and coming back over the course of our lunch. Aquidneck probably has one of the best waterfront views of all the restaurants in Newport - it makes a great lunch option on breezy summer days! In addition to outdoor seating, bar seating and tables by the Raw Lobster Bar are available.
I would visit Aquidneck Lobster Bar again, mainly for the views, as I am not a Seafood eater. Seafood fans will love the fresh, local, on site seafood combined with gorgeous views of the harbor. What a perfect combination!
I had some family members in town who are big fans of seafood and wanted to dine somewhere in Newport along the water. Although I had never dined at Aquidneck before, I took a cruise nextdoor and noticed the spectacular waterfront seating. Aquidneck in located in the Bowen's Wharf area of Newport, a popular area for waterfront restaurants, bars, cruises, and shopping. The highlights of Aquidneck include fresh local lobser and a Raw Bar.
The menu is great if you like seafood. You may have a harder time finding options if you are on a special diet. I am a vegetarian, so I opted for the Cucumber Salad, which was fresh and filling.
My boyfriend had the Chicken Caesar Wrap, which was the standard Chicken, Romanine Lettuce, and Caesar dressing combo. My dad ordered the Filet of Fish sandwich, which was beer battered Atlantic Cod on a roll. My dad, the picky eater, enjoyed his meal so it must have been good! Wish I ate seafood as it looked delicious!
We also ordered a few appetizers such as a basket of fries, which were crispy perfection! Prices, especially for Lobster, were on the high side. To view the full menu with prices, Click here
