Service was very friendly. The manager greeted us upon arrival and told us about the specials of the day. Food came out very fast and there was no wait to be seated.
The Purple Feather has a European cafe style atmosphere. I enjoyed the clean, modern decor inside. It is very small but a cozy, enjoyable atmosphere. Purple Feather is in a great location for enjoying a coffee while people watching on Commercial Street.
Purple Feather is a good place to grab a cup of coffee, take a break, and people watch. The food is a bit pricey for what you get, however, this is what usually happens in all tourist locations. Grab a piece of homemade chocolate, a window seat, and enjoy the scene out on Commercial Street!
Purple Feather is a small cafe located on the popular, touristt Commercial Street in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The catchy decor caught our eye as we were browsing up and down the street for a place to eat.
This cafe has a very tempting selection of homemade desserts, however, we were just looking for lunch this time around.
Purple Feathers offers a coffee bar, desserts, gelato, and a small lunch menu. Menu items include sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and soups. I appreciate the fact that menu items are homemade as we try to stick with healthier, local dining options. Prices were more reasonable than I was anticipating for the area, however, the portions were very small.
I had "The Bike Path" sandwich, which included lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, onions, and peppers on 7 grain bread. A small bag of Cape Cod potato chips was served with the sandwich. The sandwich was delicious, although a bit small. I do appreciate that they offer vegetarian selections when so many places neglect to offer a variety.
My boyfriend was not pleased with his Macaroni and Cheese. He felt the sauce was a bit too bland and the portion absolutely too small. I tried a bite and agreed that my sandwich was much better.
If we ever come back to Purple Feather, we will probably get a coffee and dessert! There were so many tempting desserts available. Purple Feather has won "The Best Candy Shop on Cape Cod" award 3 years in a row from Cape Cod Magazine. Definitely looks delicious - I am excited to try it out sometime!
