Mike and I chose Harvey's Lake Tahoe as our hotel of choice for my birthday weekend. Harvey's is one of several casino resorts located in Stateline, Nevada. We chose this resort because of its close proximity to Lake Tahoe attractions.

Appearance

Harvey's looks like your typical casino resort. It doesn't look much different that most of the others in Reno and Lake Tahoe. The main reason we stayed here was for the on-site restaurants and entertainment, and the proximity to Tahoe attractions.

Amenities

Amenities include a heated pool and spa, fitness center, arcade, gift shops, restaurants, salons, and of course, the casino. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice because they were heated and it was really cold outside! The views overlooking the lake were nice too!

Price

We paid about $150 for the room, which wasn't too bad considering the location and the on-site restaurants, bars, casino, and entertainment that we had access to without having to drive our car. Another nice aspect of this hotel is that it is walking distance to Heavenly Village.

Room

The room was pretty basic, except for the bathroom. The bathroom had a tub with a TV which was kinda fun and a separate shower, which you don't see too often in basic hotel rooms. The marble tiles gave it an elegant feel. We also had decent partial views of the pine trees.

Check the website for special packages and promotions. They frequently offer ski and stay packages.

Final Remarks

Harvey's Lake Tahoe is a great place to stay in Lake Tahoe if you are a looking for a good time and do not feel like driving around town all day. You have a casino, plenty of restaurants to choose amongst, a pool and hot, and you are within walking distance to Heavenly Village. What else can you ask for in a great Lake Tahoe vacation?
